Real Wasabi
So you think you know wasabi? Think again. It turns out most of the hot stuff served at restaurants and sold in stores doesn’t actually contain wasabi. It’s really a faux mixture of horseradish, mustard, cornstarch, and (bleeech!) food coloring. This discouraging truth led us to discover Real Wasabi, a company that grows authentic wasabia japonica (a.k.a “hon wasabi”) with a smooth taste and fiery finish. Like exposure to the finest wines, one taste will forever change your opinion of cheap substitutes.
