FIVEten studio in Oakland has an amazing installation by Annalise Vobis at their studio space this month. The show is titled Second Nature, and it’s a romantic collection that mimics a natural treasure, coral reef. The interplay between personal and organic influences creates a jaw-dropping display of texture and colors. Vobis has many influences for this collection. Everything from “powerful and intense” childhood memories of the wild and rugged Odin’s Forest in Germany to mathematical fractal patterns. The show runs through July 29th.
