If you secretly covert one of those traditional bearskin rugs, buy this one instead. Shaped like a bear but made of durable fabric, it works as a friendly doormat. 200 x 225 cm. At Atypyk it will put you back $700 berries.

Don’t tell anyone, but one of our favorite havens in LA is “Pot-ted“, two charming stores “dedicated to transforming your outdoor space into a personal Eden.” Run by the Garden Tarts, Mary Grey and her best friend, it includes everything from lovely stone fountains, concrete “wok-styled” outdoor fire pits to Fermob lounge patio chairs, whimsical bird baths, with plenty of neo classic and wild bohemian chic tables to satisfy everyone. If you’re not lucky enough to live close to their stores — the original store is located in the trendy Atwater Village and a brand-new second store just opened on the Westside on Montana Ave. — they ship pretty much everywhere in the U.S. Check out the blog for a breath of fresh air, something of a rarity in this town.

He’s cute, right? So-named “James the Doorman” - from Black & Blum - holds open a door (duh) or whatever task you set him to. Available at the Japanese site, SEMPRE. I expect Charles brought one back from his recent visit to Tokyo, along with other goodies we’ve never seen. Color me envious.
