February 3rd, 2009

fat-birds.jpgNo, this is not a reflection on what we look like after a holiday season of eating our weight in dark truffles, but rather cute wall decals that somehow caught our fancy. Available in 9 color palettes, (though we prefer the B&W) each packet contains two Fatty Birds for 12€.

Fire!

February 2nd, 2009

fire-light.jpgI collect tea lights. When entertaining, they create a festival of dancing lights in every room. Even with dozens of them that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped buying them though, and this is my latest purchase, the “Fire” tea light from Unison designed by Nathalie Lahdenmäki, it immitates the light and atmosphere of traditional Finnish winter ice lanterns. The light seeps through the ceramic foam which resembles ice and creates a beautiful soft glow in your own home. $45. Don’t worry, I left a few for others.

STOREROOM_invite.jpgFor all of you who are in wonderful San Francisco at the moment, you shouldn’t miss the Storeroom for all your holiday shopping. A brilliant idea by the fabulous folk over at Citizen Citizen, the Storeroom features some of the best selection of design inspired gifts we’ve seen in a while at up to 50% less than your usual retail. Now if that isn’t an incentive that’s hard to come by these days. So, with that said, head over to 2226 Bush St at Filmore and start shopping. Oh, and if you go tonight, Dec 11, then you can enjoy some lovely drinks, courtesy of California Home and Design magazine. Just rsvp to rsvp at the-storeroom dot com. Enjoy!
