Hampton Frames

June 2nd, 2006

Hamptonframe2Are you ready to add some touches of spring and summer to your pad? These gorgeous frames made out of the wood from old beach houses will do just that.
We really liked the idea that somebody is buying up used painted wood of old rundown beach houses and reuses it to make these pretty frames.
It somehow got us thinking of Fisher Island in the late summer, warm, salty fresh air, a little breeze… unfortunately it’s just the beginning of June, but these frames sure made us feel different!
They come in three different sizes:
vertical stripes: 12.5″ x 10.5″ / 32×27 cm
horizontal stripes: 9″ x 11″ / 23×28 cm
solid: 10.5″ x 10.5″ / 26,5×26,5 cm
Price: $50 / 50€

Light Reading

June 1st, 2006

Lr1Being the aficionado of good design that you are, you will have seen Sam Johnson’s fabulous Light Reading lamp. You will also have noticed, that it wasn’t available for the US. Until now. Sam has created a limited series of his fab lamp that are now available through us.
And because ewe like it if the designers talk about their products, we now clear the stage and nad the mic over to Sam:
‘Books are an important part of most interiors and whilst adding interest and colour they do not bring light! Light Reading was designed to nestle in amongst your books and remain invisible until illuminated. The Light is made from a material called ‘Secret sign’. This is bent into the shape of a book or more specifically the dimensions of a good dictionary. Inside the book a low energy lamp is mounted providing a safe and low temperature light source. Once illuminated the light reveals its title, which is laser engraved on the inside.’
Thanks Sam, we couldn’t have said it better ourselves!
Price: $120 / 100€
