First some facts before we look at the dirt. Three guns joined together to form a very stable base act as a vase – think peace movement in the seventies. Lilies in gun barrels and so on… Very simple in glazed porcelain, it makes quite an impression.
Now for the dirt: Philippe Starck and Moss chose to launch the Starck Gun Lamp during New York’s Design Week a whole year after the Three Gun Vase had its debut in the very same city. And the grand unveiling of the Starck Lamps at Moss amid a hail of hype and gold leaf and lots of talk attracted comparisons from the likes of the New York Times!

We were feeling a little playful the other day and after a few rounds of dice paired with a couple rounds of cocktails, the dice were starting to look odd and we lost control over the game and called it quits.

This is a wonderful effect and the sandblasted glass makes it seem as if it truly emits warm sun light.
