Konstantin Slawinski is one of those designers who always come up with ideas that not only look good but work well too. Case in point is his SL4 vase that comes as a two piece set.
Part one is the glass vase – a very simple and reduced cube, part two is the ‘frame’. A metallic silver metal frame with several different sized openings, that allow the vase to adapt to whatever size bouguet you have. If you have a single rose – use the smallest hole that holds the single flower. One size up – great for a handful of tulips or the like. And it just goes on that way…

The Tube Belts are one of our favorite items, not just because they are so comfortable and work with pretty much everything, but also because they work so well as a canvas, allowing for some great limited editions. Rainhard sent us his latest limited edition just 2 weeks ago sporting a two colored graphic style illustration on one side and an all silver treatment on the other; we loved it and you loved it as well, asking for an all silver version…
Well Rainhard got right to it and designed another super limited edition piece: Both sides silk screened with silver inks: on one side the entire Bicycle song by Queen – not just does it sport some wonderful typographical treatment, it also is a whimsical way of playing with the concept. And on the other side the marvelous architectural illustrations by Magama who never seize to amaze us with their unique style…
For those of you who see them for the first time, these great belts are made out of of used (cleaned) inner tubes of bicycle tires, so every one is a little different… Usually they come in different sizes, but because of their limited nature, these only come in large, but they can be adjusted to pretty much any length desired - just don’t trim it to be too short!
Who knew that having a tire around your waist could look so good!

Yeah we love the tube belts, you should know that by now, and we also dig Rainhard’s limited editions that he creates with up-and-coming designers, but for the past couple month’s it has been awfully quiet and we were wondering what’s going on…
