With fixed gear biking becoming ever more popular around the trend savy people in the worlds metropoles this might be interesting for you to read through. The New York Times has just posted up a new article on fixed gear biking. If you do not know too much about it yet, it’s the perfect article to find out more about it. Not only is it a good article, but they also have an excellent interactive feature coming along with it, where they show fixed gear bike shops, fixed gears on the race track and on the street.
Most interesting was the history of the fixed gear bike, that actually goes way back and is not something that just recently became the new trendy thing to do, which it sometimes feels like lately.
Check it out here.

PT3 (PUMA Table Tennis Tournament) was conceived in the beginning of 2006 based on a simple idea: to bring a community together for the sheer passion of table tennis, more affectionately known as ping-pong. In conjunction with the forthcoming launch of French 77, a sports lifestyle collection inspired by the style and clothing of Argentinian tennis player Guillermo Vilas, PT3 pits thirty-two teams against each other. Comprised of masters from the city’s creative underground, teams from Formavision, Syrup, Psyop, Rude Movements, joao, 2×4, Staple Design, Chez Music, Flavorpill, Truth and Soul Records, and many more battle it out to the end for the title of PT3 champion.
PT3 will also feature limited edition paddle sets designed by long-time pong enthusiast Johan Liden from the New York-based creative agency aruliden. With sophisticated lines and high-gloss finish, the ‘PT3 Ultramagnetic Collection’ elevates the art of the game to new aesthetic heights.
PT3 is testament to the universal appeal of the game. Equally, it is much about the way community and creativity come together through sports culture.

French? Or simply wannabe? Check out roving nightclub French Tuesdays. After wildly successful launches in US cities such as New York, LA, and Miami, the members-only parties have invaded San Francisco. Francophiles love the formal scene, which invades sexy venues such as Vessel and the W Hotel every other Tuesday. At least half of the thirty-something crowd is fluent in French; 40% speak other languages. You’ll need referrals from two existing members in order to permeate this scene, which is great for private networking, cultural bonding, and satiating your champagne fix. Now go on and get jiggy.

Nike will release soon the Urban Country Club pack at their Nike Urban accounts. The pack consists of a Dunk High, Blazer and a Stadium LE. Most of the part of the sneakers will be covered in white and then some nice diamond pattern accents in warm brown and khaki tones.
All in all a solid pack, that consists of nice sneakers. Nothing totally crazy, but something you can wear every day.
