Here comes a nice anecdote from LA Weekly. End of last year a massive billboard was put up in LA for the exhibition of Takashi Murakami. Not long after it went up it was tagged by Augor and Revok of MSK and Seventh Letter Crew. Somebody send pictures of it to Murakami. He liked it so much, that he had the billboard removed and shipped back to his Kaikai Kiki studio in Tokyo.
Here once again an elegant and practical new solution by the people at Incase.
“Incase is the first to offer a 2-in-1 iPod and iPhone charger that is both AV and DC compatible. Designed for both wall and car sockets, the charger combines function and economy with dependability. From home, to the car, to the office, the 2-in-1 Wall & Car Charger keeps your iPod or iPhone charged no matter your location.”
For 39.95 USD, it’s also well worth it!
Pierre Hardy presents a set of new futuristic sneakers. Entitled Colorama, the hi-top sneakers come with an multicolor design. They are available now at the Pierre Hardy store in Paris, Dover Street Market in London, Isetan in Tokyo and Barneys New York. Via Hintmag.
Nike designed this year a Dunk Hi for the Grammy Awards. The Dunk Hi comes with a white/black oestrich and leather upper and a gold glittery swoosh. The contrasting purple laces look good. Overall 1009 Dunk Hi’s have been made. The sneakers have been given out to the Grammy Award winners, but the good news are, that they will also hit retail.
The Nike “Grammy” Dunk Hi will be sold in extremely limited quantities at Fred Segal on Melrose in Los Angeles. They will be the only store to carry them. So far we do not have a specific sales date, but we’ll keep you posted. Via Highsnobiety.
The Raf Simons x Eastpack collaboration collection, that we presented to you already a couple of months ago has now been released at Oki-Ni. They got in several different backpack styles as well as a duffle style backpack. Innovative cuts, as well as colors, make this collaboration stand out. With the constant feed of Head Porter luggage, the collaboration is a nice alternative.
UK brand Garbstore is about to open its first flagship store in London later this month. Here we have first pictures of the store, for now only of the basement, but it’s already looking really good.
In recent years we finally see some brands turning their back on the otherwise mostly Marketing driven fashion market. They return to their core principles of making good product.
More news on the soon to open Garbstore Flagship store London, once we get closer to the opening.
More pictures after here.
We present you one of the latest Fred Perry collaborations, this time with Japanese designer Tomoki Sukezane. The collaboration consists of two (black and white) pique polo shirts that come with matching tonal ties. Also the polos feature a chest pocket with the Fred Perry logo embroidery and a clip on the tie. Via Openers.
The collaboration will be available at the Fred Perry Aoyama store. More pics after the jump.
Pictures of the shoes have been floating around for a while on the internet already, today we can show you the complete pack of the Jordan Brand x Levi’s collaboration. It consists of a pair of Levis 501 premium selvage jeans, a tee shirt and a Retro 1 sneaker. The denim features several customizations, including special embroideries and also a “sneaker protector” at the bottom (which is an obvious copy of the Caliroots Denims). Other details include a gold metallic zipper fly and the Jumpman logo embroidered on the pockets of the denim. Via Complex.
Look for the pack to drop March 1st at select Levi Stores and Niketown locations.
Of course Original Fake has also got something for you for Valentine’s Day. They just previewed this new print, incorporating Kaws characters into a photoprint. No more comment, just be prepared for the release in the next couple of days!
