It was about time that Eastpack did something a bit more special. Known for their quality, but simple backpacks the brand has been a classic for many years. One could never go wrong with an Eastpack backpack, on the other hand you would for sure not stick out and be one of many to carry it.
Now the traditional luggage brand has gotten together with high end fashion designer Raf Simons on a collaboration collection, to be released Spring/Summer 2008. We saw a few pieces at the Bread & Butter fair this past summer and now they present the entire line-up. Interesting materials, cuts and colors make up the collection. Once can hardly recognize Eastpack, but the collection is definitely very interesting and something to look out for. It consists of bags and backpacks in all sizes, so anyone should find a favorite in there.
We have already reported about the Burton x Warhol collection. As part of the collection they presented until now both apparel and gear. Now they launched a luggage line. Unlike the clothing and gear of the collection, the luggage line stays simple. It comes in black and features iconic symbols out of Warhols work.

Pliage means “folding”. All the bags can be folded into a much smaller size than their actual size, to be put away. The classic has now been redesigned by Jeremy Scott with the poodle design.
The bag is now available in the Colette online store and priced at 90 Euros (115 USD) that is not too crazy at all. The bag is limited to 100 pieces and only available at Colette.
Located in the heart of Minnesota, Battle Lake Outdoors is dedicated to crafting the highest quality packs and bags for you, the customer. A family-owned business, they have built their reputation on this quality and on the finest in customer service.
Now Garbstore got together with Battle Lake Outdoors, for their first collaboration, on some backpacks.
Garbstore, Ian Paley’s new clothing line is in actual fact a three dimensional creative exercise compromising the men’s wear clothing line, a store as well as the Garbstore website. Ian Paley is the founder & designer of seminal British label One True Saxon, Senior Designer for Paul Smith Jeans, Red-Ear, R.Newbold and Thomas Burberry & Levi’s Strauss. Garbstore aspires to be and draws its influence from what can be coined unfamiliar Vintage. The Vintage references are both obvious and subliminal. This menswear Collection is based on Ian’s passion for casual clothing started to be produced after the Second World War with a more formal quality than before. The sensation of finding dead stock perfect vintage clothing and include some vintage parts or reference points, is one of his rules. All products are made using only vintage union machines and are in terms of their fit reproductions from genuine vintage clothing.
The principles of Garbstore lead them to work with Battle Lake Outdoors to create a series of perfectly crafted, high quality backpacks in a series of colorways. Garbstore will open their London store mid Fall and will launch their website in a couple of weeks. Thus here already a first taste of what there is to come. We are already excited to see where the brand is going and will definitely keep you posted on its progress.
When it comes to denim usually the US, Japan and also Scandinavia are in the highlight. France is not known for especially good denim, but of course in general for fashion. Atelier La Durance is changing that perception and bringing France into the high end denim game. Over the past couple of years the brand has slowly evolved and very carefully introduces new pieces every season, making sure the brand is heading the right direction. The way they have done that so far we can only appreciate.
Besides their standout denim, they also introduced denim jackets, cashmere v-neck sweaters and zip sweaters and hoodies, that come close in quality the Japanese Loopwheeler. Everything is about quality craftsmanship. When we look at the most recent items by the brand we are most impressed by their denim bags. They introduced two of those, made out of Japanese raw selvedge and premium leathers. Denim bags can go really wrong, which is not the case with these ones by Atelier La Durance – they show how it’s done!
Until now Puma has presented bikes as well as a limited edition bag under the Urban Mobility theme. Now they have launched an entire dedicated website for the theme and present a very large collection of bags and accessories. Check out the entire collection on their newly launched website.

The cover art is done by Kaws, it comes with an Original Fake insert and this special Incase bag that features the Kaws skeleton artwork embossed all over.
