Being in London we spent most of our time shopping at Harrods (mostly in the Food Hall but never mind that.) So every time we gift at least one friend (or ourselfs) with a special little something from over the Pond. This time we are eyeing the handsome 3D Noughts and Crosses game by JOHN JAQUES, which would look good on any coffee table. Unlike the traditional model, this one is a 3-dimensional version of the old-fashioned game,so the rows can be any direction. Clever!
Traveling somewhere for the holidays? You might want to pick up the Glo Chess set first, which cleverly uses what’s called “Conductive V30 VELCRO” technology to light up the chess board. Packaged in a compact, travel-friendly case, Glo Chess folds open to reveal a miniature chess board. Just put down a Pawn or a Bishop and the piece lights up. The latest edition of the Prada Phone by LG is as aesthetically beautiful as you might expect but also offers technical upgrades such as 3G capability and a 5 megapixel camera featuring slow motion and DivX playback. Other features include Wi-Fi, a full HTML browser, and that slick keyboard which slides out when needed. Rumor is that it will go for around $400.
In case you missed this entry in the Next Gen PC contest — after all, it was #944 — designers Zhongren Zhang and Chun Yang designed the dream diary for outdoorsy travelers,such as backpackers. (Ed note: Here at C&M we prefer room service over a campfire.) In this so-called book, different pages include different functions, like media recording, solar recharging, GPS navigation, flexible LCD screen and EL illuminant (light).Its’ closer to a computer than a diary actually, and with all the electronic features, travelers can write and share their trips in real time.
