Fairshare Fountain
Designed by Zoe Stanton
The Elixir of Life is a legendary potion, a sip will grant the drinker eternal life and youth. The search for the source, the Fountain of Youth, is legendary. The famed Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon, spent many years madly in search of it, his endeavors eliciting countless search efforts from believers thereafter. Our recent explorations have led us to what we believe is the modern day Fountain of Youth for your elixir of life (we suggest a fabulous bottle of Krug '90): the Fairshare Fountain by Zoe Stanton!
The Fairshare Fountain is an interactive set of champagne glassware that will help you share a bottle of bubbly with just one pour. The set of six glasses are handmade, all with the same size copa, but different size stems. When lined up, the gradation in height along with lips on 5 of the glasses allow for automatic distribution of a full bottle of champagne. How amazing is that? In an instant, five new friends by your side. And, after a few pours, not only will you find youth, but a roomful of new very happy best friends!
Zoë designed the Fairshare Fountain while studying at Goldsmith College. The set is part of a collection of tableware entitled Shareware. Designed to enhance interactions between users, Shareware encourages social playfulness in the mist of formal situations. As Zoe recalls: “my mother told me not to play with my food and no toys at the dinner table. Sorry Mum". The Fairshare Fountain is a playful tug at what many were brought up not to do at the dinner table: play!
